In today’s world, people are bombarded with messages most wanting them to take some form of action, “buy this or that”, “do this or that”. Business owners are also overwhelmed with the lists of apps, tools and services they should be using. In a world that seems to get more complex each day, Join us on Friday, January 17th as our guest Kano Keller shares a simple secret that has helped him and countless others, to keep it simple while sustaining and growing their business.
Kano Keller studied Finance at USF in Tampa. Discovering real estate as a profession, he became a broker and launched his first company at the age of 23. An entrepreneur at heart, in 2004 at the height of the market total sales reached 57 million dollars with gross commissions equaling 1.7 million. In 2008, dealing with the challenges of a shifting economy, deflating home market, and with the new access to information that potential homebuyers could access, Kano reengineered his revenue model to launch what is now Listing Services Direct. Now a company no longer bound by bricks and mortar, they are able to thrive regardless of market conditions. Listing Services Direct doesn’t just list houses they sell them.

What’s the difference between the Summit on 5/3 and BarCamp Sarasota-Bradenton on 5/4?
What’s the difference between the Summit at the Riverwalk 2013 and BarCamp? Night and Day! The Summit is for leaders from around the state in business, technology, education and funding who want to see a broader perspective of what is going on in economic development. Big picture! The panels are chosen. There is a keynote speaker at lunch and there is a cost to attend. Reasonable for the content at $85. However if you are looking for free, this is not it.
BarCamp Sarasota-Bradenton is free if you pre-register or $10 at the door. It is a crowd-sourced event. The content is determined by who attends. There is no selling so share something you love. Or have a question? hold a problem solving session. Most anything goes. It is a synnergistic, creative connection-making day. It is completely paid for by our generous sponsors. They do so because they believe in this community. They show up and speak, they are involved in Master mind groups, they mentor others and are overall GREAT community players.
Sunday we will be hanging out at the Sustainable Shindig…and enjoying all the work the US Green Builders Council has put into this.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn and experience the components of development from the more traditional organizational standpoint to the creative community initiative. Both are crucial to the creation of a an entrepreneurail eco-system. Check out Brad Feld’s, a co-founder of TechStars, book Start-up Communities for some insight on what has made Boulder the place it is today.
